Meet Josh:
Josh Berkley grew up on a cattle farm in Western Kentucky and learned the values of small-town life in a tightly knit community. A country boy at heart, his evenings and weekends were spent on the back of a four-wheeler, at a local fishing hole, or on the front porch swing with his family.
After graduating from Caldwell County High School in 2004, Josh received a Presidential Scholarship to the University of Kentucky and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He went on to attend the University of Kentucky Rosenberg College of Law and received his Juris Doctorate in 2012.
Josh met his wife, Katie, in law school, and they made Shelbyville home so their family could grow up with the same small-town values they hold dear. Since then, they have been joined by daughter Sophie, a 6-year-old attending Shelby County Public schools and the light of Josh’s life.
In 2016, Josh opened his law practice in a one room office on Washington Street. Since then, Berkley Oliver PLLC has expanded to include two attorneys, two paralegals, and a large office space off Mack Walters Road. Josh focuses his practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, and Elder Law. From guiding young parents in making a plan to provide for their children, to helping senior clients qualify for Medicaid, to assisting veterans in obtaining their hard-earned government benefits, Josh works with clients to create estate plans and life plans tailored to each person’s specific goals. Josh is passionate about helping people plan for their futures and provide for their families.
In addition to the business, Josh is active in the Shelby County community, serving on numerous boards, including:
